Anti-solicitor campaigners who burned court bundles found liable for contempt

Solicitors from Hell founder goes down fighting but closes site after High Court order
Thursday, 17 November 2011The founder of Solicitors from Hell has branded a High Court order to shut down his site as “a sad day for freedom of speech” but said he will no longer seek to keep the controversial service running. On Tuesday the High Court ordered him to “cease, forthwith”.

On the road to hell?
Wednesday, 7 September 2011To borrow a cliché, how do you solve a problem like Solicitors from Hell (SfH)? The Law Society has chosen to get heavy, co-ordinating a group action on behalf of law firms named on the site in a bid to have it closed down. But the question is whether the Law Society has got its tactics right here. Would it be better off simply ignoring SfH?
