Law firms, legal executives and licensed conveyancers join forces to lobby for leasehold reform
Wednesday, 21 June 2017A new property law alliance, the Legal Sector Group, has written to the government with a detailed set of proposals on leasehold reform. It brings together the Conveyancing Association, the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, the Society of Licensed Conveyancers and the Bold Legal Group. The Law Society has decided not to join.

Licensed conveyancers unveil rival to CQS amid warning that lenders are becoming backdoor regulators
Thursday, 24 November 2011The body representing licensed conveyancers has launched a quality assurance scheme uniquely linked to their regulator in a bid to help detect mortgage fraud. The move by the Society of Licensed Conveyancers goes significantly further than the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
