Immigration lawyer who misled court suspended indefinitely
Tuesday, 1 August 2017A solicitor who misled the court over the ‘student’ status of a client has been suspended indefinitely by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. The tribunal heard that the client told Mansoor Ali that he had been “paying money to agents” to get certificates from universities, with the aim of getting indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

SDT strikes off solicitor who left “trail of destruction” behind her
Thursday, 22 September 2016The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal has struck off a solicitor after she was convicted on four counts of providing immigration advice or immigration services while suspended from practice. The judge at Luton Magistrates’ Court had described “a trail of destruction towards vulnerable people she left in her wake”.
