Matthew Huggett takes over as CILEX President
Friday, 29 July 2022Employment law specialist, Matthew Huggett, has taken over as the 59th President of CILEX (the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives). Speaking at the CILEX AGM on 19 July, he promised to champion the CILEX route into a legal career and prioritise improvements to the working lives and career opportunities of CILEX members.

Driving change in legal services: CILEX launches second annual membership insight survey

CILEX Law School set to deliver CPQ
Monday, 14 June 2021CILEX Law School has been approved to deliver the new CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ), introduced in February by CILEX (the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives). The CPQ is a redesigned approach to training that will produce uniquely qualified lawyers with the skills to meet the changing demands of the modern legal market and is open to those without a university qualification.

CILEX launch major membership survey in push to shape future of legal services
Thursday, 6 May 2021It is widely recognised that the legal profession has a diversity problem. Around 21% of solicitors and 34% of barristers attended fee-paying schools, compared to 7% of the general population. More than half have parents with degree-level qualifications, compared to 19% in the general population.
