CILEx Regulation Limited (CRL) is pleased to announce that Patricia White has joined the CILEx Regulation Board as a professional member. With over 20 years’ experience in the legal sector, Patricia has been a Chartered Legal Executive since 2008.

CILEx Regulation Limited (CRL) has approved an application by the Bloomsbury Institute to become an accredited training provider thereby expanding the number of training providers able to offer routes into qualification as a chartered legal executive.     

On 10 March, CILEx Regulation (CRL) hosted a virtual roundtable event entitled ‘Prejudices Suppress Talent – what actions can achieve legal sector equality’? The session opened with an engaging introduction from Seema Kennedy OBE, Chair of Levelling up Law, who outlined the work of the projectwhich set the tone for a lively and productive session.

CILEx Regulation is delighted to announce that, following a competitive tender earlier this year, it has appointed the University of Law to administer its alternative route to authorising Chartered Legal Executives who would like to apply for additional practice rights.

An excellent number of firms have joined the joint regulators’ customer review pilot. With review sites seeing a rapid increase in consumers’ use of reviews, the pilot is being extended – so plenty of time for your firm to get involved. In December 2020, the Competition and Markets Authority published its review of the legal services market. This highlighted the need for provision of more information about quality for consumers to use alongside other choice information to compare firms when choosing a legal services provider.
